tupai? bajing?

Filed under: random — by minhafelicidade @ 23:29

Well, well you learn something new every day.

crap

Filed under: random — by minhafelicidade @ 12:33

Why do people watch TV? They are full of mind numbing crap. Even though there are some (few) good shows, they cannot outweigh all those craps. Whenever I see someone watch TV, he is either watching the crapful sinetron or the fake live music show. I always wonder how most people can watch sinetron for more than 3 seconds without having severe migraine and the urge to brick the TV. The bad beyond belief acting itself is infuriating enough, add to that the terribly awful plot that has more holes than a fishnet and you start having murderous thoughts of which some are directed at people who tuned to the channel but mostly at the cast and especially at the pun*abis. That’s how dangerous sinetron is. It will turn you into a psychopath if you hate it or a zombie if you love it. I think getting rid of the pun*abis is a public service and anyone who does it should be awarded with Bintang Maha Putera or whatever-its-name.

Sinetron was (still is) crappy enough to turn me away from TV but then came the fake live music show. Dahsyat or busyet or whatever. The whole point of the show is… none. They just gather a crowd and put fake musicians in front of ‘em. The fake musicians would then lip-sync their crappy songs and then the crowd would go hysterical, and companies line up to buy the commercial timeslot. The result? Fake musicians and companies get the exposure they want, the crowd get to see their idols, networks get lots of commercial, everybody’s happy. Except for me. This kind of show only promotes fake musicians and singers who can’t ever perform live. Lip-syncing singers are not unusual, but lip-syncing musicians?? What happened to the Indonesian music scene that lip-syncing are tolerated and even endorsed?? I remember watching Korean TVs back in the late 90′s and early 2000′s. Most Korean performers are groups, either boyband or girlband and they dance while lip-syncing their songs. Looking at them I felt proud of Indonesian musicians who always sing live on TV. Little did I know that we would turn out that way too. And the Koreans are singing live now…

I stay away from the crap that is TV now. I have lived without it ever since university and the only time I miss it is whenever a big sports event, such as the Olympics and World Cup is being held. Other than that, I don’t miss it at all. Why would I miss crap?? And others pity me for having no TV. What an irony. I pity them for selling their soul to the pile of crap and being a slave of it.

Note: I know I use the word “crap” a lot. It was intentional. That’s how crappy I think TV has become.
